Looking for a shop familiar with C5s to help me with new-to-me C5Z. I do love working on my own cars, but working long hours this time of year and would like to get a few things sorted ASAP (likely tensioner pulley (TBD), opinion on driveline movement/lash, and install of short shifter). So I can enjoy some spring weather HDPE / autocross before everything melts around here.
Would be great if it is a place that I can also go back to for headers and tune later in the year.
I think you’re reasonably close to LG Motorsports. IMO, their super pro headers are as good as any available. Just be careful hanging around there. The mod bugs bite there!
Texas Street & Performance of Dallas. They are in Irving.
They have done everything on my C5z from C6Z brakes, cam, headers, to a twin turbo kit. I just recently had them put a clutch in my wife's C5 vert. Mike the owner does fantastic work, is fair, and has been in the business for awhile. They specialize in anything hot rod/classic/sports car related, and do anything car related from small odd end jobs to full blown out resto mod builds. Several pictures on their facebook page. The yellow C5z is mine. If you give Mike a holler let him know Jonathan with the C5z sent ya.

Not sure why it's not letting me post their facebook page, but just delete the space between the h and t in the web address.
Ok, this is hilarious. Coming from Land Rover world I am not used to things being easy/cheap... I just looked up how to replace a belt tensioner on the LS and it is like a two bolt, 5 minute thing. Loving this car so far!

My wife had a Land Rover Discovery when we were dating. I spent some garage time on one of those myself. Not terrible (like BMW) but annoying.
The tensioner is a 10 minute job and the short throw shifter is 20 minutes. Even if you take your time and drink a beer both combined take under an hour.
It will take you longer to drive somewhere to get those jobs done, than the these jobs will take you to DIY with basic tools. And your wallet won't be lighter for a 10 bolt, 7 screw, one demon key job.
