I have replace all of my C5’s exterior lights with LED smoked lenses, signal housing, side markers, and taillights etc. I don’t like the look of the smoked acrylic covers, I prefer the more natural look of replacing the entire light housing with smoked lenses. This leaves me with the reverse lights. I currently have acrylic covers on the reverse lights.
I am looking for smoked reverse lens’s I’m willing to replace the entire license plate bracket. Radio flyer doesn’t do smoked anything, I’ve checked Vette lights, corvette mods etc. Anyone know where I can find a smoked reverse lens assembly?
The C5 is artic white, I have the black and white look going on. Thanks in advance for the help. P
I haven't seen anything at all for reverse lens. Might have to wait for vette lights to come out with them. I've seen lightly tinted ones that were painted but they won't look like what you're after. Maybe get a really light tint film and see how that looks?
I think your best bet would be to tint the stock unit. If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, you could take it to any place that tints windows, and I'm sure they could handle it. Be aware that darkening your reverse lights will likely make them more or less useless for seeing what's behind you when you back up at night. Good luck.
Just modify your OEM lenses. I had my body shop sand off all the casting numbers from the lenses, then they polished them to a high gloss. They were sprayed with a tinted base coat and then two coats of clear.
