218 MPH??

Can a 2001 Z06......Only mods being gutted cats.....top out at 218??

Sounds kinda High on the MPH scale to me....then again...outside of running 11,s in a quarter and 385HP/Torque, I'm pretty much Z06 illiterate.......Anyone??

218mph - no way. 170-175 is more like it. 218 is flying and it takes some serious hp to get there. I've read before that 500hp is the norm to get to 200mph. 11s in the quarter is stretching it too, although it has been done by one or two forum members.

Not even close! You need big power (at least 500hp) and probably different gears.

I hope no one would try that on the street. my brother has a 630 hrs power 94 vette and it tops out around 190 - 200, and yes he did it on the highway.
