Well they clear the C6Z calipers but man its close. I hope things don’t “tighten up” in the heat of battle. My TSW Interlagos have a ton of space. The Apex are light tnough - once I have the NT01 mounted up will weigh and compare to my street setup…

Oh yeah the fronts are SUPER close. I pray they don't flex at all during track days.I have spacers in the rears so they clear no problem. Hope to have Fallen RT 660 put on tomorrow.

The 2nd pic is from inside the wheel so the right is the inside of the wheel and the left is the front of the caliper.

They are swimming in there! lol

Not touching is all the clearance you need. They wont flex. I had some C5 Z06 rear wheels on my C4 with Viper 4 piston Brembo brakes and the spokes were even closer. Never had a problem.

That is tight. Good thing the powdercoat isn't any thicker. Glad that they fit.

The tires fit nicely can’t wait to get out on them. At the tire shop talking with the guy behind the counter about Corvettes in this older guy sitting in the corner pipes up and says that he used to work at Bowling Green. He was a maintenance guy that worked on the robots. He showed me some pictures to prove it…

I agree that the tires do fit nicely. I went 275/35/18 up front and 305/30/19 rears. The fronts do have some poke to them as you can see but oh well. I also see why they say you need spacers for the rears when running 19's. I can barely fit a finger from the top of the tire and the inner fender.

Also what lugs are you using? I bought a set of black lugs from West Coast Corvette as they said they would work with stock and aftermarket rims but they do not. It's almost like the seat or cone is too small.

I got a set of lugs from Apex. They are not the externally splined ones. It seems that the Apex have larger holes for the studs than the TSW. The TSW fronts are 18x9.5 not sure how 18x10 could poke - but I guess it’s all about the offset. Assuming that spacers not needed for this square setup….

Awesome. I'll give Apex a call tomorrow and get a set of lugs ordered up from them. I ordered a set of TSW rims first but they were on back order and no one could tell me when they would be in stock so I cancelled and went with Apex as they were ready to ship out. I am assuming the poke comes down to the offset. Apex website does not mention that you need spacers for a square 18" setup but does say you do when going 19"'s so I think you should fine if running square.

Put the car on the ground and there will be less poke than hanging in the air. Also a little bit of camber can help with poke.

The car is actually siting on all 4 tires in that picture. I do need to adjust the ride height though. I put Z06 springs in it (and larger sway bars) to stiffen it up for the track so that might help when I do that. Thanks for the suggestion about camber. I think Apex says to use a couple degrees of negative camber as well. I think I will do that once it's all back together.

yeah that is tall, but I still think it will get better after you roll it around some. When the suspension hangs and then you put weight on it the bushing bind and the car needs to move to settle back to ride height.

Lowered the car on the stock bolts so it looks much better now. Did a track day at Road America yesterday and can report back no issues at all with the Apex wheel and the C6Z calipers.

There's a minimum wheel-to-caliper clearance spec, but it's pretty generous. Wilwood requires 0.080" (about 1/12", or almost precisely 2mm).

If you don't have 0.080" clearance IMO you should just add a very thin spacer. 1mm is about 0.040", so just that tiny of a spacer might be sufficient.
