Before having my Z, I owned a 2000 SS camaro. I purchased headers and bought offroad pipes to eliminate the catalytics completly. I am looking into buying headers, but dont find any offroad pipes available for the Z06..... Would I have to go with High flow cats ?
I went with the entire FLP package - LT headers, high-flow cats and off-road pipe (your choice as to which one's you want to run) and x-pipe. It's a nice set-up and the stock system remains intact and in my attic.
I have an 01 Z06 and just replaced my h-pipe with this randon tech version. The best part is that is it street legal and flows big time. I noticed a HUGE difference in power and the sound is 85% like off road pipes. I have had both a 93 mustang and 95 vette, both with off-road pipes and I like this set up better. The sound is fierocious, but not annoying and you don't have to constantly worry about breaking the law. I have a photo, but I don't know how to load the picture into the forum.

You're in Miami, call Ernie at Breathless Performance get an off-road x pipe to put in place of your cats, plug in a couple of o2 sensors install your headers and a good GHL or other exhaust and youre good to go with something like 15 to 20 extra rwhp and same torque.
Alot of my buddies have been putting H-pipes on their cars (mustangs) because it makes a deeper sound than the x-pipe does. Anybody ever put an aftermarket one on the Z? Does anybody even make them? Thanks
