Default Interior LIght Problems 2004 C5.

so, today, i decided i would upgrade my car instead of leave it alone. Got my headlight and foglight LEDs done. Went to replace the light in the hood, and boom blown fuse. Replaced
#29 fuse, and hood light, working again. Interior lights still wont come on. checked #2 fuse, and swapped 42 relay at auto parts store, and nothing. Maplights work if i turn the switch on.
I feel ill since I just got this car and now have messed it up. I am taking it to the dealer monday for a tpms sensor, and really don't want to deal with what they may charge, as it has to be something simple.
I have searched and searched, and am at a loss.

What’s wrong with the tpms sensor? Have you tried reprogramming it with a magnet?

Which lights in the interior don’t work?

Well, none of them were working. They worked again. Now not. I did put led headlight and fog light bulbs in. Not sure if those are the culprit

TPMS left front wheel sensor is bad. Dealer tried to sync it and couldn’t. Got a tpms system warning on the road today.

just got the car Thursday so all it’s little gremlins are appearing the more I drive it.

Try sinking the tpms sensor yourself using these instructions. Sometimes the dealer is clueless with these things.

Did you run down the battery doing your light install? That's what happened to me, I thought I had fried the computer, the car was going wacko. Hooked it up to a tender/charger and an hour later it was totally fine.

None of them. Map lights work with the switch. Car starts and runs fine. Don’t think it’s battery

Mr. Sam, an long time CF member electrical guru that is unfortunately no longer with us, told me never, NEVER, do anything electrical without disconnecting the negative battery cable. Food for thought for future projects.
