Default C5 Weatherstripping help

Hey everybody, I’m brand new to the forum and I just bought my first vette. It’s an 02 coupe base model and I’m loving it so far. I apologize if I’m posting this thread in the wrong spot, this is my first forum and I’m not too good at navigating it yet. I’m not sure how to search for stickies either. I just had the regulator replaced on my driver side window. However, the weatherstripping isn’t coming over the top of the window. I can see on the passenger side how there’s a little lip that the window slides into. That’s not the case on the driver side. This allows for wind to bend the window outward slightly at the top about a quarter inch at speeds above 50-60. I’m thinking this is what may have ruined my regulator as well. I’m having issues finding the correct weather stripping part. It’s the rubber piece that runs across the top of the window (when it’s rolled up) that attaches to the targa top and runs

down the dash. Can anyone help me source it please? I have attached pictures of each window. You can see on the driver side how the top of it isn’t covered anymore by the lip of the weatherstripping. I tried to make it as clear as possible but it’s dark so I might have to wait until tomorrow to get a better picture.. I really appreciate any help or info!

So an update.. I believe it is oem 10333467 and holy damn I did not expect them to be $400-$600 for this 17 inch piece of rubber. Unreal. Anybody have any other suggestions? That’s insanity man..

Looks to me that your window just needs adjusting. Lots of info on Utube.

you think so? It seems to be all the way up and in line And it looks like the weatherstripping is actually pushed into the body more than it should be, but I could be wrong. The dealer I bought it from fixed the regulator and said the window was perfectly on track.. you can see the gap there, if you notice, the seal looks to be rotated inwards almost. The lip isn’t even really there… so not sure how it could be the window itself causing the problem. Plus it’s coming loose from the top end halfway down the window anyway

The position of the glass in the window regulator can be adjusted multiple directions. I have swapped many window regulators and have gotten them to line up properly. It takes some patience to get it right.
The door panel has to come off then you can access the 2 bolts, one towards the front of the glass and the other near the rear. There is a 1.5x2.25 black sticky covering over where you can get to the bolts that hold the glass to the regulator. Have a helper outside the car, close the door and loosen the bolts. Now move the glass around so that it gets into the weather strip. From your pictures it needs to be moved up about a .25 inch. Tighten the bolts gently to clamp the glass into the window regulator.

Thank you very much for the response. But I found out what it is, it’s the door. 100%. The top hinge on the driver side door is leaning about an eighth of an inch too close to the rear of the car. It needs to be loosened and realigned. Crazy
