Default Transparent roof

Hey all, still on the fence here but I would like to redo my transparent roof either with a wrap or paint. It seems the more I read up about this, it doesn't look like one is better than the other. Also both seem not to last when it's done. I do not want to finish top and clear it again. Just want to black it out for the times I actually leave it on because the sun is just to hot. Just looking for past experiences from members that have gone this route in the last few years and if the process is actually holding up after a few years use. The vette only came with transparent top when i bought it. Been looking to buy the paint top but having hard time with that. Thanks all.

Thanks strm for reply. I have looked at that and would have just went that route. But the exterior of roof panel looks like crap and figured have it painted or wrapped would refresh the look outside while also blocking sun coming thru.

Here are some files for your reading pleasure. Some of these may help you while others are geared towards refinishing the top and leaving it as see through.

you can also check out Melrose t-tops in Illinois. For $500 they will replace your old fading/peeling lens in your top. Ask for Chris over there. He’s the owner. Very good guy.
