If the two key reader wires in front of the ignition switch assembly are unplugged and a resistor that matches the key value in ohms is plugged into the car side of that connector the VATS is bypassed all the time. If this is done and some manual security is desired then a hidden switch can be added inline with the new resistor to prevent the car starting. Why do you want to bypass the VATS security?
eBay and Amazon have the keys too. Measure your resistance on your stock key and wire the number down in the owners manual. Any place that cuts keys can make you a new key.
I am quite sure this was being sarcastic as we can’t even stop terrorist from strutting across our border or even tell us where they are.
The world is going to **** in my opinion. I don't think a little goofing around is going to hurt anything. But if i offended anyone Grinder11 will apologize because i wont.

As Mentioned, it is NOT expensive to replace the car (unless you go through the dealer). With that said there are places that you can purchase a VATS bypass. I purchased one to go with my push button start system. However, I have yet to install it. I bought mine from a locksmithing company. I can't remember the name anymore. The bypass cost more than getting a new key made for sure.
