Default White Daytime Running Lamps

I’ve always felt the orange/amber daytime running lamps on the C5’s make it look dated. After switching to smoked lenses and replacing all external bulbs with LED’s, even the amber LED’s look dated. I got switch back LED for the daytime running lamps, so at night when the parking lights are on they are white. But during the day the DRL’s are still amber. White is what most modern cars run, add that to the fact my C5 is Arctic White…I was excited to come across the solution at Sharp Light Innovations. A plug and play harness, that makes the DRL’s on my existing switchback LED’s white! Seems like a small detail but it really added a modern look.

Replacement was easy, although my harness was below my horn, unlike the picture in the instructions. Not a big deal. Love the new look. So glad they make this, I’ve never seen it anywhere else.

Put clear lenses and non-amber lamps in mine. The car is 100% led minus the DRL's and tail lights.

Turn signals are white to? Where I live turn signals are required to be amber.

I think this harness simply reverses the switch back. It keeps the DRLs white and then when the turn signals are engaged, they still switch back between amber and white.

That is correct. And no cutting the factory wires.

I have the complete DRL upgrade kit from Sharp Light Innovations. It is fantastic! I also have their ACA headlights. Here are some pics.

This is what they look like at night when the headlights are on. The marker bulb is amber (but it is washed out in this pic) The main DRL and the LED strip at the bottom are both switchback and are white unless the turn signal is flashing.

Front view

Here's what they look like when off. Clear lenses with a black housing.

This is what they look like when the turn signal is on.

I have the Sharp Innovations front marker lens with led strip and DRL harness to stay white also. One of my favorite mods.

If someone bought my car, they would have no idea the sharp light innovations wiring harness for the white DRL’s was not factory installed.

I really appreciate the quality of Sharp Light Innovation products.
