Re: Bragg Smith driving school feedback? (4stroke)
Advice, don't go in there thinking you know it all ;) You will be surprised how many little things there are that can totally change everything about your driving, be open to it all and try to use any techniques they teach you. I went to the Skip Barber school, and the cars they had there were non-synchro trannys, so you had to heel toe downshift everytime, or at least rev match, so as not to grind the gears, and it makes it easier to get into gear. I didn't know how to do it before i went, and i knew i was going to learn, so i tried to practice in my street car, and i just couldn't do it. I learned in about an hour at Laguna seca, and practicing on a car like that, where the pedals are so close together, made it easier to learn on the camaro, and now i do it all the time. Most importantly, have fun :smash:
Here are some pics from the Bragg-Smith course this last weekend. It will give you a little idea of the layout. I found the course to be challenging for learning precision skills without having to worry about running into walls and getting screwed up with off-camber turns (can anybody tell I did a class at Sears Point?)
We had all levels of drivers, from experienced hobby racers to absolute neophytes. You will learn new things no mtter where you are in your skills development, with plenty of track time to work on it.
