Re: (OT)simple question... what is museum delivery (Y2Kvert4me)
In short and to add to the reply above. It is the only way to get a "factory delivered" Corvette in the hands of enthusiasts like us. Regulations within GM doesn't allow direct pick-up of Corvettes from the Assembly Plant in Bowling Green. Since the Plant is only a stone-throw from the NCM, you get your brand-new Corvette literaly from the factory.

I'm driving to the museum very soon for my delivery. I'll let you know how my experience went. I'm filled with anticipation as each to gets closer for me to pickup my 03 Black Z06. :)
Re: (OT)simple question... what is museum delivery (Yellow79)
It was an experience I paid $160 for back when we picked up our Grand Sport.February/1996. Today, the cost has risen to $490 and basically the same set-up....except for the complimentary plant tour if wanted. Nice experience to go through though... have elected not to do it again with my '99 and '02. I purchase my Corvettes from Campbell Chevrolet in Bowling Green anyway..So,drive to BG for that pickup and still enjoy the Museum and take the tour thru the factory.....Your Corvette sets on display with protective barricades for the visitors to enjoy.....You will receive a laser etched wooden plaque either from the selling Dealer or at the Museum..I received mine the day I picked the GS up. One of the Museum employees will explain all the options on your new Corvette and answer all your questions. Some people believe, and it may be true, the Corvettes picked up at the Museum, generally are better prepped,as not to have an embarrassed situation on pickup day if something would be amiss. On the drivers door jamb,a 'museum delivery' decal is placed there as well.......Hope this answers the question for you......
