I think its 5 owners, my dad was first....right off the line in 99, then he sold it to my grandpa to make ends meet. Then I bought it back from my grandpa and gave it back to dad for his birthday, then dad sold it to a Co worker, who sold it to someone, who sold it to someone I actually talked to and they said they sold it to someone in Ark City Kentucky in Dec 2020. They gave me the vin but couldn't remember the name . I honestly don't know what I'd be able to do if I found it...what's good but bad for me right now is how much vettes hold their value. So randomly buying a corvette will be tricky, but I just want to know she's safe, and I'll do everything I can to get her back someday if I can.
I count 8 right there.

I wasnt ever a registered owner, just delivery girl. I just passed the title from grandpa to dad and dad re registered it, so I dont know, everything has said 5 or 8, so im confused, but its not important. As long as shes ok, im ok.
When I did the owner search on mine I started with the DMV where it was originally sold which happened to be Kentucky. They sent me a print out of all of the owners they had on file.
Then I started working my way through those owners until I hit a dead end.
Hay don't give up, It sometimes takes time, but in the end it will be worth it especially fit the current owner finds it in their heart to sell you back a piece of your history. I got drafted in 1969 and had to sell my 1959 Corvette. Once I got out and busy with work and other things, but I started to look for it. My parents house caught fire and burned to the ground, with it all and any past info on my lost Corvette, but it took 28 years, but I found it living in Palm Beach, Florida. Certainly in better accommodations than I could offer, but I was only able to do if I didn't quit and stopped looking. Stick with it, you'll find it, or find out about it, either way your still ahead !
