I just bought a 1998 very low mileage Corvette and I want to be able to find out WHERE the car was purchased. CARFAX does NOT provide THAT info. Any suggestions?
The national Corvette museum can reprint your window sticker and build sheet. The dealer that ordered the car name is on it. It could be sold at a different dealer if it was dealer swapped though.
NCM does give you a reprint of the original window sticker for a nominal fee. If you PM me the last 8 of your VIN, I can look it up in GM's systems as well (I work for a dealer) for free - or maybe a beer if our paths ever cross in real life.
The annoying thing about the GM system is it has data on some cars that is very extensive, and some cars have almost nothing but recall status. No idea why it's that way, either they purge the records or they just weren't kept very well.

Take your VIN to your local dealer and ask them to run a vehicle history report on the car. Otherwise, you can get a reproduction window sticker from the National Corvette Museum.
