Default Blower motor modification or stronger unit?

Comparing to my new vehicles I find the C5 blower motor weak, not that I expect more out of a 20 year old car. I thought about increasing the voltage to the fan at the high speed setting. OF course would reduce the life, not worried about that. What I'm wondering is if anyone has addressed this? Like aftermarket motor or something.

side note my system is fully functional, blower gets vbatt on high, no vac leaks on my actuators and blend functions correctly. *****.

I always keep mine on re-circulate and close the passenger vents.

Been a heat record every day here for the past 40 days between 100-110 degrees....I agree with above...on re-circulate not a problem! Small vert cabin is easy to keep comfortable on re-circulate. Windshield wipers unfortunately have seen no action during this horrible drought!

Something is wrong with the motor/fan. On high, mine is like a wind tunnel.

You may have a vacuum leak somewhere in the system. Most likely underneath the battery tray. Fairly common issue. I know because I have to sort this out myself. i get cold air but it just doesnt blow very strong

OK wind tunnel makes me think I might have a problem. I vacuum checked and the air comes out the correct vents idk. Sound like I need to dig deeper. Thanks for the feedback guys

I’ve owned my car since new. Never had a wind tunnel. It’s also summer time. I always notice my ac blows harder and cooler when it’s 80 out as opposed to the temps we are getting these days.

You might want to pull your fan and check the cage fan itself. Mine didn't seem to circulate that well. Pulled the fan and mice had filled the center of the fan with carpet fiber. Removed it and the difference was amazing.
