Gas tank recall
Have 04 CE vert AT still in need of gas tank replacement. Can someone recommend a shop or person with experience in this recall. Will trailer car to have repair done. Missed recall date and GM denied claim. Car has 1700 miles on it. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum. Yeah the recall expired a long time ago. I had mine done at Lakeside Auto in Richmond, VA. They specialize in Corvette's, and did a great job at a fair price. You don't have your location in your profile, so it's hard to recommend a shop that's close to you. You might also have better luck posting this in the correct regional forum. Good luck!

It wasn't actually an official recall for the fuel tank issue, but GM agreed to fix the issue free of charge on cars for 10 years or 100K miles (whichever comes first). That means the absolute latest GM would have covered the issue would have been in 2014.

1700 miles. What are you saving it for? Put some miles on that car. The worst thing for a car is for it to sit idle.
