Are you looking for a cover for inside or outside? If outside, how often, occasionally or does the car sit outside 24/7? If outside, I would suggest no cover. According to my go to paint specialist, all covers that are used for outside will slightly to major cause clear coat damage and also will trap moister within the engine and cabin area affecting the electronics in the C5 that are super sensitive to everything.. Since buying my '04 C5 Vert in 20014, I have only cover the Vert top leaving about 2" of opening in each of the windows for air circulation. Not had an electrical problem yet engine or cabin issues. Yearly, I apply a hard polish then with subsequent applications of a quality wax every 4 months. The Black finish pops so I have been told. .
I ordered a super nice looking indoor cover on sale from RPI and waited a long time before being told it was out of stock and couldn't be reordered. Since I had used a gift card for the purchase and a refund wasn't an option, I selected a different cover (outdoor) and am so far pleased with it. I use it to keep dust off her in the garage but others have told me it works well in rain.

Hmmm interesting... guess that makes sense and i wouldnt want a cover on car for a long period of time but id think a cover will protect paint from sun which wrecks havoc on paint no? i hate when my vette sits in the sun... her 22-23 yr old paint still shines and is in great shape but ive seen what sun can do to older cars... before ya know it its too late... I have a garage and finally organizing it so she can fit in there but i was looking into a cover for the days shes not in garage. Does your paint specialist claim your polish and wax every 4 months blocks out all the UV rays?

This a great idea. Where did you purchase the top only cover?
