Default Front subframe?

So my 2004 Coupe is in need of a new front subframe. Google has been giving me odd results, with some saying that the subframe is the same from 97-04, others saying that some are only 2000-04, and some even more saying the Z06 subframe is different. Can anyone shed some light for me? Are they all the same or were there changes? And if anyone had a part number handy I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

Here is the part #10319530. It does show it to be a discontinued part

Thank you! I don't have a problem getting a used one, just need to replace the smashed one on mine.

I was always tempted to put a lighter C6z magnesium subframe in my C5z.

I'm fairly new to C5/C6's, I know they're built on essentially the same chassis, but would the subframe just be a direct swap like that?

I know the rear subframe is different. I’ve known zero of the front being different in terms of A-arm/steering rack mount points. It’s not a major weight but it’s not nothing. Once I had the option and passed, due to being broke at the wrong time over 10 years ago. It’s been on my mind since.

A lot has been on my mind since though. still have the C5z

You can swap in a C6 front subframe/rack. It's mostly a bolt in.

I reused my C5 control arms, motor mounts, and have a C5 drivetrain. I have been running this swap for almost 2 years now without any issues. I've got the engine out of my car right now for a swap i'm working on, so I can take some pictures and make a quick DIY. Let me do that now...

Update: Here's the link https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...rack-swap.html

It's mostly a bolt in, requiring only grinding off a tab on the intermediate steering shaft and 2 holes drilled for the motor mounts.
