I’m thinking of buying one that de sulphates, maybe battery minder brand.
I have the super cheap $5.00 after coupon harbor freight charger, 2 of them, I only use them when I’m around the home, and maybe 24 hours or so at a time just in case they overcharge.
Seems someone here mentioned battery minder, sounds like it’s better that battery tender as it desulphates.
Have bought 3 batteries in last year, C5 this week, my 1965 C10 in December 2021, and on PT Cruiser in November 2021.
The C5 and truck are same exact battery from Costco, Interstate brand, PT is Walmart brand as Costco doesn’t have that battery.
Now that I'm near it, here's the desulfator I got. It trickle charges at 1.5A and has made a couple JUNK batteries less bad, but unfortunately those were too far gone.
This one doesn't randomly kill or refuse to charge something no matter how bad it is, at least in my experience.
Bought the Noco genius 1 at Autozone has 5 year warranty with Autozone, $35.49 before tax.
On Amazon it’s $29.99 but 3 year warranty.
Have a motorcycle with a very old dead battery may see if it can revive it, with desulfation mode but don’t expect much as it’s been parked 15 years, but if anything I can leave on C5 and rotate it between my old truck to keep topped off, and C5.
I’m sure battery tender and battery minder brands are good also.

I have the same one for my vette. It's plugged in anytime my car is gonna sit more than a few days. Never had an issue..
I have had great success charging all my Batteries with this high Amazon runner. My Optima does well with this also.
Foval Automatic Trickle Battery...

Nice!
I read instructions and put in on the corvette expecting it to go to green pretty quick, put battery in car one week ago today and battery made this month.
It’s been maybe 20 minutes and still charging, red light slowly flashing means less than 75% charge according to instructions.
Before I drove C5 yesterday checked volts and got 12.5, after drive and car sat a few hours it was at 12.7.
Maybe fresh battery needs just a little more charge, anyways I feel more comfortable leaving this on my corvette than the super cheap harbor freight charger that never shuts off.
I will be out of town for a few weeks and have a question regarding a Trickle Charger.
Modern battery tenders aren't just "trickle chargers" any more. They frequently check the battery state and only charge if needed. No worries about leaving them connected long term.
