My local dealer tells me my 2023 convertible is on the production line and due in soon. Ordered to match my 2002, red mist (close to mag red), tan interior, LT2 package. I will miss the rag top and the 6 speed manual and unfortunately the Z51 pacakge is/was on constraint but I am getting older and can live with the amenities. When I get a delivery date I will post the 2002 in the for sale section and wave good bye. I have learned a lot in my 19 years on this formum, lots of great people here!

No need to leave the forum. You'll still be a Corvette owner, and you still have years of accumulated C5 knowledge. Congrats on your C8 though.

I don’t think he is leaving the forum, just moving from the C5 to the C8 sections. Congrats on getting close to having your C8 built and best of luck with the new ride.

Well I took possession today. A little transport ding that will get fixed but what a technical differnece 21 years makes and love those extra horses! Yes I am not leaving the forum but likely will spend more time in the C8 section. I have enjoyed being a member here and will check back often and thanks for all who have helped me over the years! I will miss the rag top, the MN6 trans (love stirring those gears) and the Z51 package. Celebrating my 70th year in a 70th anniversary vette, and delivered on what would be my dad's 107th birthday. Hard to beat that! I'll change the picture soon.

Enjoy the new ride. IDK how the younger people are surviving! I couldn't wait until I was old enough to work, so I could buy things!!! Are government benefits so good, that people don't need to work anymore??? Never thought I'd see the day that the OEMs can't get parts. In Auburn Hills Michigan, they've torn the Palace of Auburn Hills down. The concrete parking lots are still there. I'll bet there are 300 brand new trucks sitting there, probably because they can't get computer chips.....

Very sharp new ride! Congratulations!
They would make a nice looking pair if you did keep both as Mr. Black suggested. (Easy for us to spend your money.).

I have too many other toys that are not getting used, I will not give it away so I might just keep it and hopefully have a better market in the spring.
I took the '02 to the vintage car races at Road America on Saturday, Elkhart Lake is 30 miles away from my home.
I can also point out the car for the new owner (posted in For Sale section) on the 2022 IndyCar Aerial banner on sale at ther paddock shop.
