Seat Improvement
The seat front comes off with a zipper on the top and a fold over piece on the bottom. Simple.
You can see how I doubled up the side bolster adding one on top of the stocker.
Kind of cool. Found the build date on the seat. I know the car was built in June because I got the build sheet from The Corvette Museum.
I put some extra foam padding under the seat.
The finished product.
You can't really see it but the bolster on the driver's side is taller and bigger than the pass. Works like a charm. Instead of buying high brow racing seats I made my own. It holds you in nicely.
While doing this project I found the air pump had a blowoff valve eliminating the possibility of expanding the air bags too far. When they are at their limit, the pump just keeps pumping but no air is pushed into the bags. Neat.
I think I'm going to add a bolster to the front part of the seat where the back of your legs rest. Will use the top lumbar pump for it as I don't use that much if at all.
Cheap and easy. Just how I like it.
