Default QuickJack's

I'm going to buy a quikckjac here in a bit but was wondering what size others have bought..
I'm trying to decide between the 5000TL 37in minimum lift point or the 5000TLX which has a 42 minimum.. the puck positions seem to be around 36 on my Z06 so the TL seems the natural choice... but I'd also like to use the lift for my wife's car
which the TXL would fit best for.

Any one using the TXL for their vette...?

I just recently went through this dilemma. I wound up getting the recently discontinued 5000 SLX and I'm glad I did. It was a return/open box so I got it at a reduced price. With a 29" min I'm able to get the full puck onto the Jack block. I do believe the 37" will have some of the puck hanging off. Others can chime in. 42" is out of the question. 5000 SLX also works with my Camaro. You can get extensions if needed.

I've always used jack and jack stands for everything, until I bought the Vette. I bought the BL-5000-SLX for the Vette and if it works with other vehicles great, if not back to the jack and stands.

It works great with the S-10 too.

Yep, a few 2 X 10s to get enough room to slide the QJ under the car. You also need a bit of clearance so the jack gets a bit of a "running start" prior to making contact with the lifting pucks.

I got the 7000TL from Costco and it works in the C5 and my Crewmax Tundra. Like some have mentioned, the puck doesn't contact 100% but it's like 75%+ if you space it properly. I haven't had any issues at all. The one thing I read online but didn't take full respect for was the weight of the 7000. Each side is HEAVY, like 120lbs each.

My C5 is not lowered and I don't need boards under the tires when using my QuickJack.

Neither do I, and I use the tall rubber blocks. They just fit under the front pucks, I have maybe 2" room in the rear.

Yeah I have not seen that!
anyone compared the 7000 to the 5000 side by side>
Other than the "Stated" capacity I'd like to know how they differ.... You know what I'm thinking... they look like the same tubing and construction.. think I read someplace that the shipping weights are the same...
Could they be the same lift.. and just "Stated" diffrently?

No the dimensions are not the same. The 5000 is 3in high by 11 by 70 the 7000 3.5 high by 12.75 by 70.75
And 78lbs vs 98lbs

I did a lot of research on these before I got a new in the box 5000TL a few months ago from a liquidation company for $1000. It had been Home Depot stock that didn't sell. And QJ is honoring the warranty as I had one leaking fitting they replaced. I was planning to get the 5000TLX or the 7000TL, but then I actually spoke to a QJ rep who said the 5000TL is the only one that would work with a C5 without modification. Having used my 5000TL several times now, I can understand what he was saying. With the rubber blocks pushed all the way inward and the pucks situated as far as possible outward, I would say each puck is 95% seated. I've had no concerns with safety and the car is very sturdy when it's lifted. This is with the 5000TL's (and also the 7000TL) minimum lift spread of 37". The minimum spread on the 5000 and 7000 TLX models is 43". I don't see how those would fit the C5.

I think you could also get a 7000TL to work on a C5, but height wise it would be a tight fit after factoring in the rubber blocks and the pucks since the 7000TL sits .5" higher than the 5000TL.

Here's a pic from my fender duct install. I know this isn't a side view, but if you look at the bottom of the pic you can see kinda what you'd be dealing with height-wise. That's using the 2" block.
