Hello everyone I’m looking for a good set of affordable and reliable winter performance tires for my c5 corvette. What brands do you recommend? Thanks

I’ve never bought all season tires. Lots of forum members seem to like continental or Michelin all season tires.

I had great success with Bridgestone Blizzak when I owned a WRX back when I live in reno. Theyre studless winter tires, not that great when its warm. hopefully you have an extra set of rims to make it easier to switch out

Continental DWS06 latest models with new wear pattern indicators. When it cold you’ll have better road traction, never had them in snow myself.

I worked for Bridgestone corporate for over 15yrs. The Blizzak winter tires are legit, they sell a ton of them. I’ve run them on a few of my BMWs and they completely transformed the car. Once temps are above 50deg you gotta remove though.

I had them on my daily and they are not that great in the snow. After one summer season the "S" in the pattern indicators was gone. I only got 25k on them before all indicators were gone. I was, needless to say, very disappointed in them.

I don't ride my C5 in the snow here, as it's impossible. But I will say, on my trucks and other cars in the past, I've stuck with Falken Wildpeaks. Check with a local shop, sometimes you can get them to get you their pricing and save you a few bucks.

ya'll got the clearance for snow????

Lol... i think i'd high center immediately.

I would recommend the Michelin Alpin 4 or 5 tires... no idea if they come in the size needed for a vette tho. I had em on a Lexus IS 350

My 98 M6 Conertible was my Ski Car from Northeast Ohio to Bristol Mountain in the Finger Lakes

A 4:35 min ride....

Ran the original Eagle F1s.

Never “Stuck”

Got a lot of looks and Save The Wave (from guys that I guess were wishin’ they could be me)

Also used one night as An Ambulance. ...in a Blizard. Saved a Life

...... Just Do It!

Take it from someone who lives in the area that you went skiing in, you have to factor in that our snow clearance crews are top notch. I'm sure that you seldom incurred a road with more than an inch of snow on it.......

Michelin Alpin rear in 265 and Nokian front in 245 if you can find them in US.
This is my winter set. Does well also on the snow until you start to plow.

If anyone is in Michigan/local - I have an older set of the Goodyear Eagle M&S run flats maybe 1/2 worn already mounted on silver painted thin spoke 2000ish C5 wheels. PM me if any interest.
