I have a C5 and am looking for a mesh wind deflector similar to the old Vette Net that apparently isn't made anymore. All of the ones that I see that I like the look of are for C6's. Do you think a C6 deflector will work on a C5?
No, the cars are not the same width. It is highly unlikely that a C6 screen would fit properly in a C5. With that said, there are options out there for C5. Not sure how available they are with current supply chain issues though.
Is that a bad thing? I've heard other forum members say that it works. Plus most screen deflectors have to be removed to put the top up. This one can stay in place. If you're really set on the old style, you could post a WTB in the for sale section of the forum. They come up for sale from time to time.
You seem to know what you want, and what's out there. Good luck.
If others are saying it works that's a big factor. Also, being able to put the top up without removing it is also important and wasn't something I had realized.
I have one that came with my 2000, the guy I got it from didn’t have it installed and I have no idea how it’s supposed to be put in. I can’t figure out where the brackets should go what to do with it even with searches

Good advice and if you don't have to mess with the deflector to put the top up/down, all the better.
I took a chance on the Wind Restrictor brand for my C5 and amazed at how great it works—and looks. Wondered if it would be too gaudy, but it looks fresh and deluxe.
Lifetime Warranty! Easy install.
My best customer service experience ever
Wife’s hair stays in place
Music is louder
Wind noise down dramatically
Keeps vert warmer in colder weather
Still like it so much, I became an ambassador. Use my code Save10JimH.
LMK if you have questions.

Two questions. Can you take the top up and down with the deflector in place? Does the light interfere with rearview mirror vision at night?
Deflector stays mounted—vert roof goes up and down easily.
I’m 6’ and the rear view light is not an issue.
There’s no light at all ‘til you turn on your headlights. So daytime, it’s clear.
You can also dim or turn off light with one click of the remote. Or adjust the mirror away from the light. Note: You can also connect it to just the brake lights instead. You can also change colors on the remote.
People think my 98 is new when they see the deflector.

You don't look like you're 6' in that picture.
Seriously though, that is an adorable pic. Good job starting her off young. That's how we get the next generation of enthusiasts. Hopefully, she'll remember what a V8 was like as everything(including the Corvette) will be electric by the time she's actually driving.
