I've been following the gas app, and the price sure varies. Michigan and Indiana are pretty close to the same. N. Kentucky WAS cheaper, but seems to have jumped since Ian. I got $1.60/hr., but when I worked there, in late 1972-early 1973, I was in a small window of time that you didn't get free food. You did get all the pop you could drink for free. But no free food.

I used to eat 5 cheeseburgers for $1.25. Now, I'd make $14+/hr, and get all the free food I wanted.......On second thought, seeing McDonalds food as it is today, I think I got the better end of the deal!!!!

When I threw papers on my Schwinn (used) I was paid 3 cents per customer per week. Threw 150 customers a morning before school. Sometimes a customer gave me a 25 cent tip when collecting for the paper if I threw the paper on their front porch. If it rained, I got lots of tips for porch throws! Talk about high cotton!!!!
