Finally got our power back after 12 days. Ian made landfall here in the southern part of Port Charlotte. The path went directly thru our neighborhood. Roofs and garage doors all over the streets. Giant trees uprooted and falling into homes. Many, many power lines down. There are lineman rigs from all over the country here. Insurance claim centers, red cross, salvation army set up in mall parking lots. The whole area looks like a war zone. Oh by the way, the C5 made it thru unharmed.

We were very fortunate and sustained no damage to our house, pool or pool cage. Only one small tree went down in my front yard is all, and we only lost power for 6 hours. Cars stayed safe inside,
