How wide of a tire can I fit with these rims without rubbing or modifications? I have 285-35/18 Michelin PS4s currently, I am losing traction here and there and the active handling keeps coming on. The temperature outside today was 65*. This is just on regular "spirited" street runs.
Because they do not make anything in the 305 or bigger in this tire, I am thinking or going with the 305 or 315 R88R's in the rear.
Currently the motor is stock, but, I have a LS3 that I built and will be putting it in this late fall/winter. That motor will be over 500+hp, the current tires don't stand a chance of I'm spinning now.
Agreed, I am asking about the offset and rubbing or the sort. Thank you for replying though. If anyone is rubbing this set up, pictures would be great!
I agree, I was just trying to get a more direct answer. So, with the rim size, offset and tire size, how do you know it will fit? Thanks.
Because its been done a million times. Those are only a 3mm difference in offset from the OE rear Z06 wheels. Almost anyone who tracks a C5 runs rear Z06 wheels with 315s. I run 18x12.5 wheels with 315s without issue, so I can say with confidence that the smaller wheel will also not have issues.
I feel warm and fuzzy now. You have not only facts, but first hand knowledge to support your answer. No B.S., thank you. I hope this will help someone in the future as well.

About 17 years ago, I bought a set of re-pop thin spokes in an 18x10.5 from Bob@House of Wheels. Did this to keep stock look, and so I could run a 315/30/18 tire, Michelin PS2s. I don't have the biggest hands, but I could get all my fingers between the sidewall and inner fender-barely. They've never rubbed. Hope this helps........
