I am looking to purchase a quick jack 7000tl for my c5z. Will it fit under a stock height z?
and can you lift the car in the appropriate spot. Sorry if this has been asked before new to the Corvette world
I have the new style 5000 set. They go under (barely) my lower than stock C5, they will hit the lift pucks but only about 2/3rds of each (front/back). They work quite well.
I recently obtained a 5000 SLX from QJ but they've been discontinued. For the C5 the minimum lift distance was the sticking point since I also use the lifting pucks (ZL 1 Addons) and I do believe my car sits a bit lower than stock. I also use a few 2 X 10s to give a little extra clearance.
The 7000 TL is a bit longer and sits a bit higher and is significantly heavier. Maybe someone who has been using one will chime in.
I have the 5000 SLX. Any reason why you are wanting the 7000? The 5000 will lift SUV's with ease, heck QuickJack made their own YT video showing 18k lbs lifted with the 5000. The SLX is the older version and which Home Depot still sells. They do $300 off as well around a week after Black Friday and a few times through the year. Of course the new TL goes 3" higher but has different lifting points. What I hear is that it can work for a Vette, but an SLX is a tad more on the lifting point I believe.
I use a set of 7000SLX on my 01 Z06.
I have it in the air right now with the suv kit using hockey pucks. I lifted it off a set of HF daytona wheel skates. I had it on the lift last year with a 2x4 in the recessed portion of the lift and the hockey puck hung in the vette. Lifted it off the floor and had about 1/4" between rocker and lift in the air. I just ordered a set of 5.5" pin adapters for the suv kit and am going to drop it onto jack stands and try to put those in , I need to get a few inches higher for the exhaust to roll out.The kit came with 2 7/8" long pin adapters but i didnt put thoses in.Didnt have the room with it on the skates. I am pulling the left diff cover off to reseal it and want to pull the left exhaust out of the way. From what i found online it needs to be around 26 1/2 from the bottom of rear cradle to ground.
There is a QuickJack group on FB. Pretty much every car gets asked about 87 times a week on there.
Thanks for the idea!

From FB QuickJack Forum, the 7000TL "fits perfectly"

Should be noted that the 7000TL and 5000TL have the same spread so it makes sense the 7000TL would work if the 5000TL works.
Additionally it seems QJ themselves have TOTALLY solved the issue for about $100.
They have drop in trays that allow you to use smaller lifting spreads so there should be no issue for the vette. https://quickjack.com/frame-drop-in-...uv-set-of-two/
I made a set of "drop ins" out of 2x8's and used derlin to make the "stops" to keep the 2x8 in place and not able to move side to side. Allowed me to have a lot more area of contact instead of just the smaller rubber blocks that were just capturing the pucks. Now I can put them in with about an inch of clearance to the pucks. Works real good when I want to lift the F150 too, as it has a lot more contact area with the frame.
On my 7000TL at the narrowest lift points the puck does hang like a cm over the edge of the lift block. I just added a piece of angle iron. The 5000 frame is 11" wide and the 7000 is 12.5", When you're 2 feet up like the extra width.
Mine fit but height would depend on if you've lowered. driving up on 2x12s solves it
