Default Trouble code chasing ???

Well I spent yesterday chasing the trouble codes on this (New to me) 2003 50th AE convertible and I used the on-board computer and it had 23 codes stored codes all of which were ' H ' codes and I hit reset and wiped them out, and started fresh, and this morning I took it out to see if that erased them or if they came back, and 2 of them did in fact come back, 1. TCS- C1233 and 2. SCM- B2860 Now I already know I have a damaged right front hub assembly, so that should be the TCS C1233 code, but I'm not too sure about the SCM- B2860. What is the B2860 ??? And I think putting in a new battery has made a big difference in the whole operation !

My chart says B2860 is a Telescoping Column Position Sensor. Hope this helps.

I'd start with the simple things first. I'd check the plugs/connectors on your SCM and seat harness to make sure they're all in good shape and not corroded/damaged at all. You will more than likely have to remove the seat, but it *should* take about 15mins [max]. 2 plastic covers, 4 nuts and unplugging [3?] plugs.
