I had my dash apart a couple weeks ago to replace the hazard flasher switch, (no fun) in any event the first time out after that, I noticed the button to release the gas door no longer worked. My first thought was I forgot to connect it when I put everything back together, after checking and making sure all connections were tight, still didn’t work. Any suggestions?
My first thought was that I had pinched a wire when I put everything back together, but upon inspection, couldn't find one.
Going to replace the fuse next
That happened to me when I fixed my HVAC dual zone control. It's easy to forget to plug it in. I wasn't too pleased with myself when I had to pull the radio bezel a second time. DOHHHH!!
Goodness!... What's one to do if this happens to ones attempt to gas-up?
From my 04 Owner's Manual: "If your fuel filler door release will not operate, there is a
manual release tab. The tab is located against the
upper trim on the driver’s side in the rear compartment.
Pull the tab to manually release the fuel filler door.
Here ya go. It's on the outboard side of the foam insulation (I pulled it over for the photo) just aft of the rear driver's side wheel well. Be careful, there's a wiring harness in the vicinity. Don't pull on that!
