Since Dennis @ Double D Mods is no longer in business, options to mount gauges in the car are slim to none.
Not to mention, gauges in the A-pillar seem a bit tacky, I've taken it upon myself to make my own gauge pod plate and adapt it to my bezel.
(HVAC unit is missing because I sent it out to get it's LEDs replaced by Travis @ Vettetronics)

Geeze, I actually like my A-pillar guages...Hell I need them for function when I'm driving the car hard. I certainly do not want to move my eyes down to the center console when doing 130
I have no problem with a-pillar gauges --- I wrapped the pods in leather, looks like they came from the factory like that .
aside from that .. I do like what you did there!
That is definitely a nice touch. I had the a-pillar pod and didn't like how it stuck out and was in my face. I think this is a cleaner solution but to each their own.

I agree on the A-pillar location being the most functional. They look cool in this setup, but if you need a boost gauge, you're not going to want to look down towards your shifter during WOT pulls. I do hate jamming fingers on the A-pillar gauges though. A center vent, or steering column, gauge pod would be something we haven't seen before and more functional. I feel like a steering column pod could be made without blocking too much important stuff on the gauge cluster.

Definitely some impressive work done by the OP on the bezel and it looks great. This is certainly a personal preference thing and I do find myself preferring the boost and fuel pressure gauges in the A-Pillar. There is also a "brag factor". Other enthusiasts who drive by you will likely notice the A-pillar and know there is something going on under the hood.

I agree, this is purely subjective. I prefer the gauges on the a-pillar, but OP's setup looks great, not for me, but it's not my car. Similar to how the c3's did it, has a nice look to it.

Realistically you're not going to be looking at them that much when racing, more so for tuning. You should have fail-safe characteristics in place. But I get it.

Realistically you won't be looking back and forth that much. Column pod takes away from the C5 cluster, which honestly is very appealing to the eyes.

I appreciate that. I actually like not having that "show off" factory. I have other ways to show off
I definitely appreciate the craftsmanship. I personally disdain A-pillar gauges so this set up looks nice but it doesn't seem very functional to me that low in my sight line. If I am on a hot lap, the only time I'm not looking out ahead is to check the mirrors and for a quick glance of my oil temp and water temp on the straights. You don't have an airbag, so presumably you are in a race seat, harness, and HANS on track, which is already limiting head movement.
I don't have a boosted car so I am probably not getting the value of semi-permanently mounted gauges for primarily tuning. In an N/A car, I think the DIC covers most of what I would want to see live. Fuel pressure would have been nice to have in the DIC. If I needed one or two additional gauges, I think I would probably favor a gauge pod in front of the dash cluster or on the dash pad.
I dig it. Especially as a home fab unit. I bought mine below when they were available from DDmods.
While you're in there, if you need any remote plug ins for that head unit I have both used a hole saw to cut into the passenger side of the center tower behind the HVAC or run it to the console next to the oem charger. In both cases they remain non visible or low visible but easy access if needed.

The Op's design is great but THIS THIS THIS!!!!!!!!
Nice job!! Quick question for OP; what material(s) did you use? Aluminum, perhaps? Thank you.....
Thank you brother. Quite easy actually, I just used a 3/16 thick piece of ABS then epoxy glued it to connecting points on the rear of the bezel.

Thank you! I agree. I only used the tray to hold my garage door clicker. Figured this was significantly more efficient.

I appreciate it man. Yea, I hit up Dennis plenty of times and it was impossible to get another unit like this made for me so I had to improvise. I love that DD Mods setup though.

That's a blast from the past -- I remember that setup when I was buying my bezel from DDmods --- I remember thinking I'd never need the extra gauges ... that was obviously before I got the super charger. Looks really sharp!
