Default Help with my C5 value

I need some help. I have a family member who is interested in buying my 2001 C5 Vert A4 and I’m considering it to get into a C7Z.

My C5 is Black on black with a lot of bolt-ons. Very conservative tune. Dyno: 467 HP @ 6 psi. Clean car fax and garaged.

A&A SC
ARH
LT Long tubes
Corsa Sport Exhaust
Forgestar F14’s
LG Coilovers and sway bars
Bi xenon headlights and LED Halo brakes
Pioneer double din
53K miles

Im not sure how much $ to ask for it. Any feedback is appreciated.

It is really hard to be accurate without seeing the car...but if a nice car...$20-22,000.

That’s kind of where I thinking. I was having a hard time assessing a value with all the modifications. I just didn’t want to reach on the value due to selling to a relative. I put the SC on 41K mi and honestly would drive it anywhere. Love the A&A kit.

To be honest the C5 interior is where I want to move on from. I blame my Audi for that.

Bolt-ons don't affect value much, especially if the seller still has the original parts. The blower is another story. To some, it will be worth more, if it's a quality install. To others, it adds nothing. To some, it's worth less. My .02

Thats why I’m looking for feedback. Customization doesn’t convey to all buyers, that’s just common sense. However, they do convey to this relative.

Take a stab at the presumed value, assuming a quality install of all modifications…and you like your relative and would like to do right by him.

$15k at most. If it wasn't heavily modified and it wasn't winter it would be better.

Modified cars do serve to limit the market. Personally, I would not buy one but on the other hand have sold thousands of them in the last 50 years. In this case there is an exceptionally low mileage car that evidently is well known by the buyer who has stepped forward. It now becomes a question of how much would he have to spend to find a comparable stock vehicle and make the desired modifications already done in this case. All things considered, the value I suggest could well be a bargain if that is what he wants!

Years ago i felt that same way... but if the car you want is also modded and done the right way than why the heck not? Let the previous owner dump all the $ into it and than you take it over at a discount. Why buy a bone stock c5 and than dump thousands into it when you can find a modded one and not have to spend all your own money.. .unless ofcourse you want a bone stock c5 and keep it stock. Just my opinion ofcourse

20k to a relative imo is fair... ofcourse she has to be super clean which is what the pic shows me but ofcourse one pic doesnt tell us the entire story. Bolts ons IMO dont add value... FI with a good tune adds value not sure how someone can say it doesnt. At least from my experiences it always has.

If you want a stock C5, one option you have is parting out all the bolt-ons, and returning the car to stock. Even the A&A unit is a bolt-on, albeit an expensive one! If the original parts are still with the car, it would be fairly easy. The A&A unit is a high quality, sought after unit. When they do show up used, they are seldom under $4,500.00. I'm with the OP on buying a properly (keyword!!) modded car. It can be a real steal!! The way it sits, I'd say $20,000. My .02......

Answer..... Don't sell the C5 Corvette, you'll be making a big mistake.

I would say $20-21K or so to a friend.

One bonus in your favor is that the relative, or friend, may know some of the cars history, and maybe even helped with maintenance and/or mods. I know if I was related to the guy selling the car, and knew its history, and how it was driven, it would be a plus for me. Actually, a huge plus. But you also have to decide whether to discount the car due to the relation factor. I'm sticking with $20,000.......

Another factor is now is not the best time to buy a used C7Z. Their prices are crazy unless you know of a private one that's reasonable.

If you don't need to sell quick, $20K firm. The right buyer will know how much a blower kit is and pay a premium. No blower, stock wheels, $16-17K

As mentioned $20k (firm) seems about right if the car is in the described condition and free of issues.

53K is low miles.
I don't know where some people think tasteful mods hurt the value. Those wheels and the trusted A&A kit add value IMO.
If it was mine, I wouldn't sell it for a C7 But since it's not mine, you shouldn't take a dime less than $20K
