Hello, I recently bought a 1998 C5 and I’m having a problem with the hatch/door opening.
When I go to open my driver side door, the door doesn’t immediately open. After turning the key a few times, the door opens, but so does the hatch. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
The hatch was usually stubborn before this and would always result in me pushing the hatch upwards from inside of the window.

Do you mean the door doesn't open, or it doesn't unlock??? Two VERY different issues. The C5 hasn't got any automatic door open feature. If you twist the key once, the door unlocks, twist it twice, and the passenger side door unlocks, twist a 3rd time, and the trunk opens. If you're saying it takes 3 twists before the door will unlock, there's something worn out in the door lock mechanism. Check out "Secrets of the C5 Corvette" on YT.......

Do you have the Auto Lock/Auto Unlock feature turned on in the DIC. If yes, try turning it off and see if the issue is gone. If no, then try turning it on. The C5 has legionary electrical anomolies and maybe this could be one of them.
