I found my 2002 convertible at a Toyota dealership while I was looking for my girlfriend a new Toyota. It was like yours, a one owner with new brakes and new tires and stuff. I will soon have it 10 years and have put a whopping 5000 miles on it. I really like it and will have it the rest of my life. I treat it like it is a $1000000 car. I wouldn't be divorced if I treated my ex-wife like that. Glad you found yours. Ken

Untouched and primarily left alone at home on a shelf to look the part as the hot piece while waiting for you to come around hoping for a good ride? Pretty sure it would end the same way with someone else changing fluids and checking the dipstick! . Don't worry. Btdt.
Thanks for the "Young Breath" thing (WTF), but I'm 70. Bought my Z new, and started "molesting" it as soon as it was home. "Molesting" is fun, when we're talkin' performance mods; especially DIY.
I did the same with searching for about 8 months. I finally found the C5 I loved at a dealer close to me. Picked up my 2000 convertable with only 32,000 miles on her. Car is in perfect condition and unbelievable fun to drive.
Seems as though most of the cars that guys find at dealers are typical cars in good condition, lower miles, good service history and taken care of. Getting the new steering rack, new brakes (pads), new belts and a fresh service with state inspection made this deal too good for me. Getting a 30 day/1000 mile warranty was the icing on the cake.
I don't keep my vehicles stock, but I prefer to take a stock vehicle and set it up my way, thats why I want a bone stock car to start with (if possible). Half of the video's and stuff I see with sports car guys (not limited to vettes), they do some dumb stuff to their cars and "think" it makes them faster/better whatever. Each to his own but I don't want to buy a car with an unknown history and modded with dumb stuff for me to have to correct. I am starting with a clean slate-me likeee that way
Well I picked up the car and took it out for the day to drive it and get to know the car. Everything worked great. My GF and I drove around for 5-6 hours just cruising and such. Love watching the oil pressure! Towards the end, she went to roll down her window and nope, just the relay clicking. Drivers side works great. I know I tested the windows on my test drive the week prior to picking up the car! Got home and texted the dealer (Saturday). Monday I got a call and I dropped the car off yesterday. The car came with a 1000mile/30 day warranty from the Nissan dealer I bought it from. They called me late yesterday and said they had to order a new regulator and would have it Tuesday and should have the car done Wednesday. Awesome!
I'll have 2 weeks and about 600 miles left on the warranty! Time for a weekend road trip in the mountains!

Great news for you, I hope you and your new Corvette have some great road trips together. I hope the front plate cover was with your car, they cost about $125.00 one the current market. it is a very clean Corvette and silver goes with anything. I found my 2nd C5 last September and it had 10.103 miles on it. you should get a CarFax on it just so you know where it's been, that's how I found mine and at least I know who and where it's been more or less. Good luck and happy trails !

Yup, pristine front plate cover in the trunk, never used. CarFax was on the dealers site, so that is how I knew the 2 dealer-life maint records plus what the dealer I bought it from just did to make it pass state inspection. New belts, wipers, steering rack and a fresh service. And now, a new passenger side window motor/regulator!
