Default HVAC repair question/ recommendation

I took out my HVAC unit to do the sauter repair and the 241s look good but was going to solder them but shaking too much and don't want to ruin the whole module. Do you guys recommend anyone specific to do the ship and repair??, i seen a few on ebay and a few others out there. Was thinking since gonna ship out prob due to the LED upgrade while at it prob the cool white. thanks in advance!!

Good luck, I sent mine somewhere on one of those eBay things. I had a mint unit that was just dim. The guy contacted me and said my screen was fried, he gave me my money back plus 75 dollars so he could keep my unit for parts. He didn’t want to ship it back because of costs. I ended up getting a junkyard unit for 250.00, no core required, and on the plus side, works great, and already has the LED upgrade. I had Best Buy do my double din install when the car was torn apart, waiting for HVAC unit. All is good now. This was like 5 years ago.

I don’t know where you can send yours.

I used these guys when my HVAC display and a few buttons went dark
www.myairbags.com
The business is located in Buford GA
Repair and shipping came to $81 (a couple of years ago)
I specified that they repair mine and ship it back to me, as opposed to swapping it for an already repaired unit.
I got the unit back promptly and it has had no problems to date.

I just got mine back from absfixer.com last week. I don't know if they swap out colors for the buttons, but they fixed my dim display for $75 and had it back to me within a week.

I sent mine to Vettetronics / Wolfe Restorations for white bulbs, then a couple years later for a blue led upgrade to match the double din I installed. I have referred a few people here to him and have not heard any complaints. He also uses the correct bulbs - some people use one that run too hot but are easily found on fleabay and amazon.

I'll add some pics here from my phone but the pics really don't capture how good it really came out.

Follow up, got mine back from Vette tronics, he did a great job, great guy to talk to ! Looks like yours above but i did the defrosters in red, the blue looks great especially with being electron blue, everything works great. It did take awhile due to he was really backed up though but i am really happy with it! Def recommend him!
