Ho high should the trunk lid pop up when opening with either the key fob or dash button. Mine barely lifts and I have to kind of work my finger under it to open. Also unless I open it all the way it'll close on my head. Does this sound like weak struts?

I replaced my struts as suggested but the lid still was not raising enough. So I also installed a spring on the latch mechanism.

Nothing lasts forever. I put one of the little springs on the lid four or five years ago. I like it. I had to put new brake light bulbs in my 2008 Colorado today. The daggone things only lasted 15 years. It is just simply always something...LOL

It should pop high enough for you to easily get your fingers under the lid and pull it up and open. I would agree that your struts on the lid need to be replaced. Good luck on the fix.
