Thanks for the link. The people in that link were saying the C6Z shocks are not a great choice for track use or on lowered cars. I agree with that. However, the OP DDs his Vette. As stated, I did this swap to my own car. So, I can tell you for certain that it isn't too tall. It IS stiffer, so it might make the car ride a bit higher, but it isn't taller. I agree it is not the best choice for a track car. I specifically chose them because they make a big difference in handling without making a big difference in ride comfort. Short of coilovers, I honestly believe that C6 Z06 shocks are the best choice for a stock height, primarily street driven C5. If you are doing regular HPDE, the Bilsteins are a better choice.

I run the Doug Rippie Bilsteins on my stock height, daily-driven C5. They're literally just regular Bilstein Sports re-valved per their specifications for a street-driven car. Highly recommend them, especially when they only cost $50 extra vs the regular Sports. I got the poly bushings too. They're not overkill at all, and unlike most stuff out there right now, they're in stock!
