From what I understand the Corvettes in general do not have very difficult service requirements
I’ll argue that they do. Paid what had previously seemed to be a competent service location for a motor oil, transmission, and differential fluid change only to be told on pickup that they couldn’t find the tranny drain plug. Then there are the times I’ve seen a Corvette in work somewhere, only to find they had no clue about the need for jacking pucks.
And I will never darken the doorway again of the shop that was going to fit the lift arms by pulling the car up by the fender wells…

Well, it might vary some with the dealer you go to, I really can't say.
For me, I took my C5 for service to Steve Moore Chevrolet, outside of Charlotte. There, they employed one service tech that was specialized in Corvettes. In this case, they implemented everything from replacing a head unit to the transmission, and did with lots of aplomb.
Yes, that's crucial. Depending on the kind of service, different places will have different results.

If Corvettes didn't have very difficult service requirements, the dealer would not employ a tech who specialized in them. I'm not saying Corvettes are hard to work on. However, they do require a good bit of specialized knowledge. Having a mechanic with the right knowledge and equipment is very important.

I was exemplifying a good setup, for assurance. I'm no back water mechanic, per say, however the following should be simple for any ASE Certified Mechanic to implement. Corvettes are not Ferrari's, as far as I know their components are not specialized:
- Oil Change
- Tire Rotation/Replace
- Transmission Flush
- Differential Flush
- Cooling System Service
- Plugs & Wires (aka Tune-up)
- Service Alternater
- Bleed the Brakes / Brake Job

Reason: More Concise
As for dealer "Corvette techs," mark me unimpressed. Yes, the tech fixed a wiring issue. However, the way he fixed it looked terrible. I would've never known, but I had to go back in the same area when I myself installed a new multifunction switch. I had to repair his repair. Some are good, some aren't. Like everything in life. But I will never again get that fuzzy good feeling when a dealer says "oh yeah, we've got a guy who works on nothing but Corvettes." YMMV.
