Default HUD gap at dash

Any suggestions on how to close this gap? Previous owner stated the HUD had been worked on so I assume the dash was out at that time. This will drive me crazy like this and I might be taking other trim pieces off this weekend to swap out USB cords from Android to Apple on the KENWOOD head unit.

You may be able to use a HUD bezel overlay to cover up that area. See this thread https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...+bezel+overlay for more details.

It doesn't appear to be delamination like my C7 had. I know they sell that bezel separately at most vette sites so I would assume it can be removed and re-positioned. Saw this on ebay. Looks like a few tabs are keeping it in place. I know to replace the entire HUD unit takes several hours but I don't see why the bezel would require removing the dash.

I recently tackled this on my car.

I tried to glue the overlaid type of bezel with the dash in place at first. This type is designed to be epoxied over the original bezel. This didn't allow me to cover the separated area. My solution was to remove the dash, which allowed me better access to cover the bad section. Took a bit of test fitting and fortunately it came out looking better than it did before.

From this,

Would be awesome if it was that easy, alas it is not. There are also plastic pins that take a flange self threading nut. I had to remove the dash to get to them.
