Default 10-pcm p0327

Please help I have this code for faulty knock sensor , I cleared the code and car runs normal (for now). However now on start up the idle drops , almost as if it’s going to shut off, then the idle jumps back up to normal. Any thoughts? This only happens on start up and then drives fine . My car is a 99’ auto 4speed.

could this be fuel pump related? I do have the issue with fuel pressure bleeding off too fast and have a fuel feed pipe with check valve being delivered shortly , I just didn’t have the drop of idle until the KS code came

Are you 100% certain the check valve is bad ??…how did you determine this ??

Well I have had hard starts for a while now . Car turns over on the second turn of key. Fuel pressure bleeds off minutes after driving the car , I have a new fuel filter /pressure reg , so the fuel feed pipe / check valve was just a guess at this point

As far as checking fuel pressure bleed off to check if it’s the check valve you check this key on and then off…not while the car is running…what is the fuel pressure at idle and on a snap acceleration ??….fuel pressure should not decrease on a snap…if it does you may have a bad fuel pump !!

The other thing that can cause loss of fuel pressure is a leaking fuel injector, which could cause an bad idle. You can always try measuring the pressure at the fuel line with it disconnected from the fuel rail. You might try reading your fuel trims and MAF.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

thanks for the relpy, I will check my fuel pressure at idle/ snap accel … maybe I do need a fuel pump . I will find out here shortly .

I had this issue when I purchased the car , I decided to change fuel injectors for peace of mind and problem is still here even with new ones . I have not checked the maf yet though

If you have a Mityvac checking a bleed down issue is simple…no guessing…as far as your MAF I don’t know if you have a scan tool but if you don’t you’ll be guessing if it’s bad…it gets expensive when you guess !!
