Hello everyone, new member here from Long Island NY. I’m building a mk1 gt40 that chassis is designed to use c5/c6 suspension,my question is I need a set of rear tie rod ends and cannot find anywhere. Does anyone know where I can buy or have part #? I appreciate you help.
thanks
Joe
Lets see some pics of the mk1 gt40. This is a pic of my 1971 GT40 replica made in 71 by a local company called Fiberfab. It's got a chevy 327 mated to a Corvair transaxle, a future upgrade to an ls1 and C5 transaxle is coming.
If you're just looking for the ends, not the entire tie rod, Eckler's sells some beefy ones for about $40-50/ea. I've heard some bad experiences with Eckler's recently, but the part is sold by others as well. Google "c5 tie rod ends" and they'll be the ones that run about $40-50...lol
