Default Halltech Killer Bee fitment issues

I bought a halltech killer bee with ls7 maf conversion and I'm having issues getting the hood to close. It seems like the air bridge is too thick. Does anything look off here? Anybody else install similar parts and run into this problem?

Is the bridge hard down against the radiator? I run the older Halltech Stinger and the airbridge is definitely in contact with the hood insulation, but not enough to be a problem - just " rub" marks.

I would contact Halltech with your problem.

Mine is tight and touches the hood insulation, but the hood closes.

I think you just need to push it up against the throttle body more. A centimeter or two will make it fit. Mine fits but hits the insulation.

I was told by Halltech to cut the intake tube on the throttle body side to try and move it closer to the radiator shroud and away from the hood a little. I cut like an inch off and mine still rubs the hood with no insulation.

That was his suggestion to me as well. I tried scooting the pipe all the way back on the throttle body and holding it there with masking tape, to see if that would make it fit and it didn't. I didn't want to cut it if it still wouldn't fit. I'm sending it back and trying a Vararam this time since they're known for good fitment and ease of installation . I'm probably going to hate myself.

(EDIT 3/22/2023) - I shipped it back and they gave me a refund for everything but the shipping, which I think is completely fair. I had lots of emails back and forth with Dru, the CEO. He was very attentive through the whole thing.

Can you flip the filter around? It looks like it would set more flush against the radiator shroud if the front side was on the back from your photo.

I would describe this as a known issue from first hand experience on two cars the other belonging to my brother. Tread carefully though, he was banned from CF for a period of time for calling out the fitment issues and pushing back when told by the manufacturer there were no fitment issues and the problem resided with him.

It is definitely a tight fit but it does fit. I have this intake and the iat are very good with it. There are known issues with the Vararam too.
