I have a 2005 C6, but I was running a C5 Z06 diff in my car since the 05 diffs were garbage and the C5 fit with a brace. I am going form H/C NA setup to a TVS2300 with a C6 Z06 trans/diff. What would be a fair price to ask for this differential? It has 300m shafts and a hardened 4.10 gear set that was set up by Cartek in NJ. Never abused or seen a drag strip.
HAHA....thanks for the tip on the milk crate I still need to do the swap, but I will definitely keep that in mind Hopefully I will find a local buyer when that day comes.
When you decide on a price I would be interested. I am located in Ottawa, Canada so shipping could be interesting! The good part is that Ottawa is only a 45 minute drive to New York state so would be able to pick up in the USA. Of course, I would pay for shipping.
I would say a 3 rib diff with 300m shafts, 4.10 gears that was built by Cartek should bring an easy $2,000 in 2023. Also, most of the C5 diffs I've seen and heard about had just the longer side fitted with 300m steel, not both. If that is truly the case, $2,000 would be as low as I'd go on it. My .02...
With the gears being swapped out, it doesn't really matter what it started it's life as haha. A problem free, slightly upgraded, used 3 rib diff should fetch 1,500-2,000 IMO
