Default Seat mounting for possible upgrade?

We all know that our C5 seats Suc*....... have a lot to be desired. I read about how people swap seats from aftermarket or C6/C7 Corvettes.

Just exactly how does this happen? Do the frame brackets and electrical just PIP? Or do brackets have to be "drilled" and mounted to the new seats?

I'm just curious as I'm thinking of doing an upgrade and want to know the process. Thanks!

Unbolt the C5 seat. Bolt in the C7 seat. Plug in the C7 seat with a premade power adapter harness or whip up your own.

Very easy to do.

do a few searches-- there are a TON of threads in here on this.
c7 and c8 seats drop right in. A little bit of electrical work -- super easy to make your own adapter -- and you're done. Take a look at my c7 seats in link in my sig.
