Don’t know exact date but April 2003 was driving and out of corner of my eye a red Corvette on a car lot caught my attention.
Pulled up and looked at it, very gently opened door to it and salesman came out, I thought for sure I could never afford it but they got me financed and I drove it home, it felt so odd like it wasn’t real.
Woke up next morning wondering if it was real and looked outside, saw the C5 vert and started panicking thinking I better return it, I can’t afford this and how much is insurance going to be!
Read the contract and saw “no cooling off period” so that was that.
Was 25 and had only bought very cheap used cars up until that point, maybe max $2000.00.
Had wanted a Corvette since being a little kid in the 1980’s, at 16-17 years old I told my older brothers one day would have a Corvette, one of them told me “you will never have one, those are for rich people”
Exactly!... A mile away from home and you are a rich person driving that expensive rich persons Corvette!.... Cool eah? .... and no one knows elsewize. 😋
