Anyone install the LED front corner lights from VetteLights? Just installed them, and getting really bad hyper flashing. The front left blinker stays on when the headlights are on, both the blinker and DRL are blinking, along with my left fog light. Hearing a lot of clicking in the car, and looks like all the lights are blinking on and off. When turning the hazards on, both the blinkers and the DRL blink. Just emailed VetteLights, just wondering if anyone else had a similar issue.
Did you install either resistors or the hyper flash harness with the lights?
Trying to wrap any loose ends which may help others with input/recommendations.
Best wishes for an easy fix.
Yes, resisters are installed. Was told I didn't need a hyper flash harness. When the car was off, and in accessory mode everything worked. Its when I started it when all this started happening
If the resistors are in right it should work.
I went to the Hyperflash harness just to eliminate the many different resistors and make it easier when I update other bulbs.
I did LED in my turns to keep from melting the new housings.
I just swapped out my original LED Switchbacks and LED Halo Tail Lights and LED side markers for the full VetteLights smoked kit which include the front corners, LED laser side markers, LED laser tail lights and their extremely bright LED reverse lights. All worked well without their resistors using my original hyper flash harness I had installed underneath the steering column.
However, once I installed their Laser LED 3rd brake light, I received the traction control/rear axle error code and VetteLights sent me some resisters to connect to the outside rear tail lights. I chose not to install the resistors as they get very hot and was told not to install them near other wiring or anything else that could be damaged by the heat they emit. Rather, I simply smoked my OEM rear 3rd brake light as it is already LED and you can't really tell the difference.
Go with the hyper flash harness as I think that's better than using the resistors. Just my opinion...
Thanks. I plan on purchasing the rear lights and 3rd brake light from Vettlights soon, going to see how this plays out 1st though. Sounds like I need a hyper flash harness and that will solve my issues. The rear lights from them comes with a harness, so this might solve my issue. They got back to me asking what kind of bulbs I have in my headlights and fogs, as far as I know they are all stock.
