Default Please help identify this Shifter

Hi guys, so I purchased a '99 black FRC about a month ago, and I'm really enjoying it so far. A lot of the fun so far has been discovering what mods have been done to it, how it performs etc. I've had some issues with the shifter, and long story short looks like the lower box is very worn out. I'm sending that In for an upgrade, but while the shifter is out, I need help identifying which it is. The PO had listed it as having a Hurst Short Throw shifter. Well it did come with the white Hurst cue ball, but that's where the similarities end. The rest of the shifter looks nothing like any of the Hurst photos I've seen online. In fact I can't determine what shifter it is as there are no markings on it. Can anyone with a keen eye give me a hand?

Thanks!

I thought it kinda looked like a B&M shifter. Newer B&M units look different, but Vettenuts has one they say is a B&M that looks identical: https://vettenuts.net/c5c6-corvette-...-throw-shifter

Thanks to Google Lens - I have identified the shifter as a B&M Precision Sport 45057 Shifter.

Not sure when they started calling it the "Precision Sport". 20 years ago it was the B&M Ripper. I just took
mine out a few months back to replace with an MGW.

I'm doing the same swap, to an MGW. What are your thoughts on the MGW vs the Ripper?

Ripper is raw/crude and requires very firm shifts to engage. Great for positive high RPM shifting but gets a bit annoying around town cruising stop light to stop light. Never missed a shift with it though in 20 yrs over 100k miles and track days.

The MGW is REALLY tight and is far superior...however; it also leaves little room for error on high RPM shifts. I had a mishift from 4th to 3rd the very first time I got the car out for a race. It was a bit careless on my part and my grip on the shifter should have been different to adjust for the shifter but still unexpected with the shifter I've read so many "never miss a shift again with MGW" threads. The MGW takes a bit of getting used to (at least in my experience) because of the super tight gate pattern.

I may explore new **** options as well to get my leverage higher on the MGW. I was running a Raceseng heavyweight **** but since reverted back to my C6 grip. I never liked the anti-venom mod but now I'm finally going to try it with the MGW.
