Default Lower car, less air ?

Question is, If I lower the car front and rear, with the nuts and bolts that come on the car, will this bottom feeder get less air to the radiator? And if it does get less air, I will assume the coolant will not get as cool.

Anyone's thoughts?

The change should be negligible. The air dam isn't changing size. More of the air that comes under the nose is now being caught by the dam since there is less space under it for air to get past.
I wonder if a PO lowered mine because I seem to scrape on everything.

Should not change unless you rip off or damage the air dam.

You will scrape more often, so keep an eye on the condition of your air dam.

It's easy enough to look under the car and check.

Thanks for the kick in the pants! I just measured it and it's about an inch lower.
Dad will laugh about that, it always annoyed him that it scraped so easily.

Ya, I occasionally scrap as when I purchased the car 3-4 months ago, the previous owner indicated he had lowered the car and it defiently looks like he did. I just keep an eye on the air damns to make sure they are not deformed or pieces are not missing.
I was jsut looking for some input on what other C5 owners thought about how much of a change of air it would be going into

I'm thinking the comments in post #2 are on target. I lowered my C-5 21 years ago, a few months after I bought it, and I've never had any cooling issues.
