Default 2001 c5 tire sizes help

Alight so it's a 01 c5. With z06 17x9.5 18x10.5 rims.. whats the deal with proper tire stagger? Options for these rims is very limited and have no idea what I can get away with. Currently have some very old and hard (2015) nt555 245x45x17 and 275/40r18. Cars a daily driver with maybe 1-2x a month drag usage. Does have a little bit more power, se headers, cat delete, nxtstep exhaust, 700hp build 4l60e(level 10 performance) ,3k TC,342 gears, vararam intake and a street tune (Soon 243 heads and cam). Would something like a 275/40 front with a 315x30 rear work? Eventually will get new rims right now I'm going for the old man "stock" look

Lol no insult intended. But I'm 35, car is torch red, beige interior, beige convertible top, and chrome c5 z06 rims. I love the color set up but more older people tell me nice car then young lol. Plus the local cops I'm friends with tell me same thing. And I try to stay off there radar

There is a thread somewhere on this forum, someone had good luck with 275 40 17 and 295 40 18. Just my .02. I think 315 are too wide for the 10.5 inch rim. I have a 305 30 19 on a 10.5 inch rim. 305 is the largest I would go.

I dug through the threads and everyone has a different opinion and then the stagger rules for tc to work right. So much info lol. With the sizes you suggested I'm not opposed, sorta limits me on tirerack for example to rt660 or the G2 for a matched set. I know the g2s are decent, anyone try the rt660s on track and regular driving?

I see what you mean, I was plugging in different tire sizes at their site, and not much coming up.

I’ve got 275 35 18 front. 18x9.5 rim
305 30 19 rear. 19x10.5 rim.

theres 15 different matching sets currently on tire rack. There used to be about 25. I think a lot of tires are out of stock.

I bought my rims from tire rack. Flo one F4. It might be time for new rims.

I would start to look at a 18/19 wheel setup to help “modernize” the look of the car.

I have a similar issue, recently purchased a 2002 Z06 and need to replace the tires.
I tried to replace with OEM - 265/40/17 / 295/35/18 - but these are out of stock (Eagle F1s).
I've searched the forum, however, the links to alternative options no longer work.
Appreciate any insight.
Thank you.

I just swapped to 19x10/18x8.5 and went with Nitto NT555 G2 305/35 on the back and 245/40's on the front. Love the tires, really made the ride so much better. 305's fit perfect in the wheel well and are flush with the top arch body line. 315's would stick out some-

Does anyone have experience with the following tires on stock Z06 rims?
The F1 SuperCar OEM rear tires are on backorder, only front tires are available.

Mickey Thompson
Street Comp - Ultra High Perf
275/40R/17 (slightly wider than stock)
295/35R/18

Thank you.

Most tire brands are very similar, kuhmo, Goodyear, Bridgestone, etc…. I’m sure those Mickey Thompson are fine. Go for it, let us know your opinions.

For the record, I’ve always run Bridgestone. Never had a problem.

And there is flexibility in the front/rear "stagger". I have an 18/19 set up using OEM "base" C6 tire sizes - 245/40 front, 285/35 rear.

Missleboy above has the same fronts but 305's on the rear. presumable with no issues.

How those g2s holding up? I've heard alot of mixed reviews. I got a sweet deal on a set of the new conti sport 02 in the close to stock 275/40R17 and 295/35R18. And then gifted a set of 17 Hoosier drag radials d.o.t 2 to save the street tires.

I just purchased 275/40r17 G2's for the front and 305/35r18 555R2 for the rear. Depending on how many miles you drive and what kind of driving you do that might be an option for you.

I daily drive to work every morning about 40miles round trip half highway half regular roads. I do drive quite spirited, especially merging, sounds so good pinned. The car gets used everyday until the salt starts then the car gets put away. I also track it about 1x a month. Best time on my beat tires was a 12.49 at island drag way
