Default What is the difference between active handling mode and competitive driving?

Does active handling only brake the rear tires when tire slip is detected and competition mode brakes all four tires? How does the system work?

In competition mode, traction control is turned off allowing you to light up the rear tires if you so desire. But active handling is still on in competitive mode. A/H kicks in when the system detects the car is taking a different angle than is indicated by sterring wheel input and applys braking to one or more wheels as needed to help the driver regain control of the car. When both A/H and traction control are turne off, you're on your own! :) Hope this makes sense and helps.......... :steering:

Find the article by Hib Halverson, he explains all, also do a search, I think it's in C5 Tech there is a big thread on this very subject with quotes from the article. TC use a combo of engine reduction and brakes depending on what the computer is detecting.
